About us

S J Systems is based in Darlington, serving SME's and home owners throughout North East England. We are affordable, professional, and reliable.

SJ Systems was created in 2004 and has grown and developed over the years. "In the early days I was performing simple first line IT support as I studied part time at Teesside University. Once qualified the business moved with me into more exciting and demanding challenges. Supporting local businesses and helping them achieve the most from their IT investments. Computer repair, systems consultation, network installation, procurement and an ear to bend for many. I feel fortunate to have experienced such a healthy variety of work, my passion firmly lies with helping others, from the day the business started to the day my business was incorporated, supporting more local businesses than ever before." - Simon Orton (Managing Director)

Frequently asked questions

1Do you do home visits?
We do. We offer a friendly and affordable service in your home. We cover the Darlington, Northallerton and surrounding areas. We do travel further by separate arrangement, please get in touch for more info.
2How much do you charge?
We have a fixed pricing structure for Home Repairs, charging per problem rather than an hourly rate, see prices for Home Visits. For businesses and remote support we charge by the hour. £35 an hour on site in 1 hour blocks. Remote support is charged at £35 an hour and is sold in 30 minute blocks.
3What areas of UK do you cover?
We cover Darlington, Northallerton and surrounding areas for on-site visits. We do venture further a field for those clients who need it, this is subject to a travel charge, please call for clarity on this. We offer Remote Desktop support all over the world, including a regular based in sunny Spain!
4Are you insured in case something goes wrong?
Yes we are covered. We have Professional Indemnity, Employers Liability and Public Liability. For more information of the level of cover we operate under please get in touch.
5Are there any jobs you don't do?
We will look at any challenge put in front of us, following a vigilant assessment of any job we will always give an honest response. If a job is beyond our scope we will offer what help we can but won't take on any job we cannot do well.
6Are you available for contract work?
Yes, we pride ourselves on being versatile in our solutions. We have scenarios where we work along side existing IT departments, sub-contractors and directly with end users. Our solutions are customised for a best fit be that contracted or on an hourly rate.
